Roettger Ridge is owned and operated by Tony Roettger, located in Forest Lake, Minnesota.

Roettger Ridge Kennels is a diverse kennel that has trained dogs of many breeds. i.e. Spanish Water Dogs, Setters, Pointers, Brittany's, Water Spaniels (American and Irish) and of course the Labradors, Goldens, Chesapeake. Diversity makes for a well rounded, experienced dog trainer/handler. The Springer and Cocker are my breeds of choice but a good dog is just that, a good dog. I have shot rabbits, woodcock, snipe, grouse, prairie chicken and pheasant over spaniels from states all over American and also England and Scotland. Spaniels may be my perfect dog but not yours. It matters not, no dog racism at Roettger Ridge. If you need help or just have a question drop me line.    

I have been training dogs for close to fifteen years. Beginning my years of dog training with the Minnesota Hunting Spaniel Association I eventually branched out to start Roettger Ridge Kennels. Many dogs, owners and handlers have gone through Roettger Ridge Kennels training style over the years; some even have begun successful training kennels of their own. The fact remains that Roettger Ridge Kennels will never be duplicated. Customer/owner happiness is the foundation to this kennel facility and if owners were not happy, I would be out of business by now. Over the years of training dogs I have found that there is something to the being patient and taking the proper time to train the dogs and owners to his or her speed. If corners are cut the result may not be as good resulting in an unhappy owner, trainer, handler and dog. At Roettger Ridge you can rest assured that the main focus is the dogs and getting the most possible out of them. Nothing is more rewarding to me as a professional dog trainer than a happy owner and dog team. I love receiving pictures of successful hunts by my clients and their dogs.  

Some may try and emulate Roettger Ridge but this is its own facility. Roettger Ridge is the originator of the term on/off switch - dogs turn off in the house and on in the field. Roettger Ridge is the home of the custom made gun dog; pick a puppy and let me send it off for socializing and then back for training to be the dog you desire to have as a companion and hunting dog.
